STORMY WEATHER CONNECTION | ||||||
The band that I'm closely connected to has finally released its debut album!! It is fantastic und has produced great new ideas! I'm mighty proud of the guys to have brought in so much effort, love and high spirits! But how do I fit into? Quite easy, I'm also playing along. In fact, it's just one song, but none the less I feel honoured to have been permitted to bow my double bass for this masterpiece! But the best is yet to come! Last year I turned an old hobby of mine, the photography, into a serious side job. I have done the cover shot for this album. CRIS COSMO & GUERRILLA BAR | ||||||
 Yes, I know, it's been some time now since we announced the release of this album and it will even last a bit longer, but the album “SANDKORN” will definitely come out this spring. We played a lot last year with the Guerrilla Bar band. But this summer will be record-breaking, the festivals are planned at the moment – so be curious about all those fancy concerts that will be realized with this wonderful artist. The debut album of the young, extraordinary talented artist Daniel Stoyanov appeared currently on February 15 th . I'm proud to have contributed to this production a few deep frequencies . You can listen to me at “Wenn du”. One of my favourites on this disc is “Warum bist du bei der Polizei?” Take a look at TASTE T meets EKG Let's move on to the next step of my career: Producing. It's been a while now since I have my own studio, in which I work on my own material. The cooperation with my studio neighbour Wolfgang Wahl alias Taste T has brought up a very nice and successful result: “SEALED” appeared on our house internal label “amused records”. The whole Medienhaus4 has moved from the „cool“ Ludwigshafen-Friesenheim to the “hip” bohemian side of town Jungbusch in Mannheim. At „Musikpark 2“, it's located directly in the Hafenstraße. That's why: WATCH OUT (Achtung) NEW ADDRESS pictures will follow, or rather a whole website is in the pipeline. Haste makes waste. | ||||||
My life as Schlapparazzi | ||||||

The photography has always been present since my early youth, but last year I finally bought a digital reflex camera and everything happened in quick succession...A new artist name was born. Well, how can you call a Schlapbe who is a photographer? Schlapparazzi! This is clear as daylight. And a new website developed quickly. In fact, there emerged even two websites. One is a photo blog (http://blog.schlapparazzi.de) , in which I publish my best pictures in regular intervals. I recommend this site warmly to everybody! And the second site presents the “collected” works in a photo gallery http://schlapparazzi.de. You can find many pictures from concerts, or rather from backstage. I would be glad if you drop by. In the end I'd like to present you a delicacy: The title photo for the Stormy Weather Connection was not my first one....No, an old friend and fellow student of mine from cologne, Peter Protschka, also released his debut album “Point of View”. First class staffed quintet and really extraordinary compositions! This is really worth listening to! I myself took the cover picture as well as some others in the booklet and on the back.  Well, dear readers, this was a lot of stuff to read I'd say! Tomorrow I will retreat myself for 12 days into the isolation of a monastery and learning to meditate. Man darf sich zurecht fragen, was ich eigentlich den ganzen Sommer über so getrieben habe. Die letzte Meldung hier ist schließlich zwei Monate alt, aber dafür gibt es jede Menge zu berichten.

"Der Meister Guildo Horn" |

Seit zwei Wochen bin ich der neue Bassist von Guildo Horn, quasi ein orthopädischer Strumpf. Wie es dazu kam? Der alte Bassist ist ausgestiegen, ich wurde empfohlen. So schnell kanns gehen. Flugs kennengelert und auf Anhieb haben wir uns unheimlich gut verstanden. Erstaunt war ich über mich selbst, dass ich als "Petra Pogo" solch einen Spaß bei den Gigs haben würde. Der "Meister" ist ein toller, äußerst angenehmer Mensch und einfach ne echte Rampensau!! Einen kurzen Eindruck bekommt ihr natürlich auf meiner Fotoseite!! Ich freu mich jetzt schon auf das tradionell jährich stattfindende Konzert vor Weihnachten in Horns Heimatstadt Trier. Das wird garantiert ein riesen Spaß!!! |

 Der Sänger von den Söhnen Mannheims auf Solopfaden. Er hat ein eigenes Projekt ins Leben gerufen mit exzellenten Musikern: Thommy Baldu am Schlagzeug, Daniel Stelter und Wolfgang Schönecker an den Gitarren, Martin Kilger am Piano, Tino singt und ich spiele natürlich Bass. Zur Zeit sind wir noch am Songs schreiben und Demos aufnehmen, einen Vorgeschmack wird es auf einem Anfang nächsten Jahres erscheinenden Sampler der Söhne geben, auf dem jeder sein Soloprojekt vorstellt. Die Verhandlungen mit der Plattenindustrie lassen sich momentan sehr hoffnungsvoll an, man darf also gespannt sein, was da so nächstes Jahr kommen wird. Ich werde hier bald mehr davon zu berichten wissen...... |

Auch auf der jüngsten Produktion aus dem Hause Naidoo/Herberger bin ich wieder mit von der Partie. Das Allstarprojekt "Zeichen der Zeit" geht in die zweite Runde. Am 20. Oktober ist die Veröffentlichung der ersten Single "Ich trage dich auf meinen Händen" geplant. Der Bass ist natürlich von mir gespielt, auf der Homepage von ZDZ kann man schon einen kleinen Ausschnitt hören....... |

"Seit einiger Zeit bin ich der Bassist der "Guerilla Bar" die Band um den charismatischen Frontmann Cris Cosmo. Wir haben im September viele, viele Stunden im Proberaumstudio verbracht und die Demos für das neue Album aufgenommen. Ich habe mit meiner neuen Kamera fleißig dokumentiert, unter http://blog.flach.net gibt es in Zukunft regelmäßige Tourberichte und viele, viele Fotos! Jetzt steht bald die Albumproduktion an, die wir in Berlin Ende Oktober starten. Auch darüber wird hier dann natürlich berichtet! |

Als wäre das nich alles schon genug, hatte ich das Vergnügen im August eine weitere Platte mit hervorragenden Musikern einzuspielen. Iniziert vom Plattenlabel INFRACOM aus Frankfurt, wird vorraussichtlich zeitgleich zum Kinostart des neuen "James Bond"-Films eine CD mit jazzig bearbeiteten Titelsongs erscheinen. Mit dabei waren die Glashaussängerin Cassandra Steen, von DePhazz Pat Appleton, Edo Zanki, Katia B, Jutta Gückel und Oliver Hartmann. |

Hey Folks! Xavier hat nach dem Deutschlandspiel Deutschland-Italien noch in derselben Nacht angefangen einen Danke-Song für die deutsche Fussballnationalelf zu schreiben. Ich war am nächsten Tag auch aus anderen Gründen im Studiokomplex Naidoo-Herberger beschäftigt und so kam es dazu, dass ich dann auf dem Titel Bass gespielt habe. Jawoll! eine Platte mehr in meiner Discographie!

Hmmm, last update ia long time ago. not because of lackness of news. No, I played a bunge of gigs in March, did lots of studio work

But now, here are some News:  Her second Album, named "Wunderbar" will be released on 28 of April. I played all basses. Hmm, what could I say? I think it is a great reecord. Great songs, great sound, deep lyrics. All facets of Yvonne are on it: deep ballads, lightful summersongs and rock with balls are on it. My personal favorite Track is number 14 König/Dame
EKG "Endlich Klingts Geil" (none german speakers: "at last, it sounds fucking great!"), my drum'n'bass band. There is a new line-up: Christoph Czech - drums Michael Fischer - perc Phil Barth - turntables ME - basses Did already some rehearsals with the new guys and you should live expect broken beatz, which should be a VERY good reason to move your ass! We work also on some studio tracks, be warned! Currently I'm working on take this regulary on stage in Mannheim. I'll keep you toasted on that one!
SILKE HAUCK Finally finished my work as bass-player and co-co-producer on her upcoming release. I'm not allowed to verrat very much, but let me say: beautiful songs and great guest apeareances ( e.g. Kosho). More about that hopefully soon here also.
FURTHER NEWS Had a great gig with Claas P. Jambor last sunday. A very, very gifted singer and writer. Hopefully I play more gigs with him in future.
There are some more projects in the pipeline, but there are currently only being talked and planned, nut not happend yet. But expect something great to come, that's for sure! Last, but not least: SPRING has arrived and I feel unexpected energies letting my heart beating faster. For that matter I want to say: learn german! and than you will understand what the following sentance means. It's worth it, belive me! "VOLLGAS AHOI!!" take care!!

TEN+1 Die neue Platte ist im Kasten!! Was soll ich sagen, die Stücke sind zum Teil extraordinär schön geworden. Jetzt beginnt der ganze Kladeradatsch mit Mixing, Mastern, Pressen, etc. Unsere Designerin hat schon die neuen Plakate fertig, inklusive der Postkarten! 3. | Mit Get Fresh on tour! nach zwei wunder schönen Konzerten in Zürich mit Kamary gehts direkt weiter mit dem Leben "on the road"! Ich hatte auch einige Shows mit der Band Get Fresh, was man hier auch als Photos anschauen kann.
